This is the fastest year I have ever known!
November was such a full month… I have been to lots of places in the UK on Russell Watson’s Magnificent Buildings Tour and seen many stunning cathedrals.
It’s been a busy few weeks of touring… it really has been non-stop (with singing teaching & performing in care homes on any ‘days off’!) we’ve sung in beautiful venues, to lovely audiences and each one has been an amazing concert. I am loving every moment of being on Russell’s tour. Someone commented on my social media recently that I cover a lot of mileage! And that’s certainly true!
I’ve also been back in the Studio recording this month! I’ve released a Christmas single which is available on all download platforms. It’s ‘I Wish You Christmas’ by John Rutter, the words and music are beautiful and for me the song sums up the feeling of Christmas! Click below to listen & let me know what you think…
I’m planning to be back in Highfield Studio in January 2024 to record my next album… so watch this space… I’d love to hear of any songs you’d like me to record?
A couple of weeks ago I just about had enough time to enjoy a couple of nice days with my family. We went to watch Hamilton the musical, which was great, very different to any musical I’ve seen before! We also managed to fit in a Spa Day, which was so lovely and needed!
That’s enough relaxing though, as this month is the busiest month ever!! (I’m so grateful to be able to do what I love, I just need to take each day at a time and know that I will be able to put my feet up on Christmas day, after helping to cook the Christmas dinner!!)
I sang in Truro on December 2nd with the Cornwall Symphony Chorus as their special guest! It was a fantastic evening and I loved being back in Cornwall as I spent 11 years of my childhood growing up in Truro! I will be back soon as I’ve been asked to perform a concert in St Mawes early next year…
My own Christmas Concert in Essex is on December 16th in Hatfield Heath, Holy Trinity Church. Tickets are limited and almost sold out so if you’d like to book then please follow the link or send me an email – nancy@nancy-may.co.uk.
The rest of December is full of Christmas carol services, and singing with Russell Watson in three of his Christmas concerts 20th , 21st and 23rd of December. What a year it has been!
