Hiya,

It certainly feels like Autumn now, I’m not quite used to the darker nights and colder days yet… I hope that you are keeping well and warm!

October has been another busy and exciting month for me! I have been singing in care homes throughout the month, which brings me so much joy. I always have lots of fun singing with the residents and hearing their special memories.

I performed a concert in Purleigh near Maldon on Saturday 14th. Such a beautiful village, and a wonderful audience. Thank you to all who were there and made it such a lovely evening!

Russell Watson’s Magnificent Building’s Tour is going really well! I’m loving being a part of these fantastic evenings. I sang with Russell Watson in Lichfield Cathedral on the 12th of October. It was an amazing place and the World was floating above the audiences heads! I found it very humbling and inspiring!

The concert was another brilliant success, with members from the Rock Choir also joining us upon the stage…

As well as Lichfield this month, I also sang with Russell last Saturday 21st in Peterborough to another wonderful audience. I have been really appreciating the lovely messages I am receiving after these concerts! Here are a couple from last week:

“You are superb! Your duet with Russell brought tears to my eyes, stunning performance!”

“WOW What a night! Nancy you have a wonderful voice, please look after it. You made my night by signing your CD. Thank you!”

Mum and I are travelling up to Durham this Friday as I am Russell’s special guest in Durham cathedral on Saturday 4th November. I just wanted to mention my mum here as she does SO much… not only does she keep me company; she prepares my food for the day, steams my dresses and zips me into them, listens to me warming up most of the way, videos the evenings for me (although sometimes just videos of the floor appear haha), and is a lovely support! It’s nice that we are able to spend this quality time together… and allows me to concentrate on the singing side whilst having mum’s company! So thank you mum if you are reading this!!

Sunday 29th October would have been my wonderful dad’s birthday so my family and I went for dinner which was very special, it’s been an emotional time… 6 months since dad’s passing and not a moment goes by where I am not thinking about him and grateful for his amazing legacy.

I was really touched in a radio interview I did with BBC Northampton this week, where Bernie and myself were chatting about my dad and his days as a Rock Promoter and the influence he has had on my musical journey throughout my life! The interview is on my Facebook page if you’d like to catch it… we also spoke about singing in Northampton Cathedral next week with Russell, my own tour of Essex this year, and my new music! So have a listen!

Next month is incredibly busy and I will be singing with Russell at six of his concerts in November! I am looking forward to seeing friends and family at some of these concerts a well! Thank you!

And then it’s nearing Christmas!!! Where has this year gone?! Don’t forget my concert in Holy Trinity Church, Hatfield Heath, Essex. The concert is on Saturday 16th December and tickets are selling fast so if you would like to come, I would suggest booking soon so that you don’t miss out!

You can purchase tickets here: https://nancy-may.co.uk/product/christmas-concert-by-candlelight-holy-trinity-church-hatfield-heath-december-23rd-7-30pm-tickets-15/

Have a wonderful November all!
